Victorian Public Libraries

The Victorian Public Libraries have fantastic user friendly websites.
By becoming a member (which is FREE of charge) you can request items to be delivered to your preferred library for pick up, search for articles from recent (and not so recent) newspapers and journals, download audiobooks onto your iPad/eReader and all this is available 24/7.  Checkout the list of Victorian Public library websites:

http://mvcc.vic.gov.au/for-residents/libraries.aspx
http://www.ncgrl.vic.gov.au/
http://www.moreland.vic.gov.au/moreland-libraries.html

All the above websites also include 'What's On' at your local library.  Including Author talks, School holiday activities, Book Clubs, Pre-School Storytime and more...
If you do have an issue in getting around one of the library websites drop into your local library where I'm sure one of the wonderful library staff would be more than happy to help.
I LOVE Victoria's Public Libraries.

Oh! I wonder if this is going to work.

Blog about a how a library related organisation uses social media platforms

Moonee Valley Libraries make great use of social media platforms, using Facebook and Twitter to advertise their events and all the exciting things that are happening in their libraries.  The Moonee Valley Blog is information relating to their Family & local history collection.  And I love how on Pinterest they have boards promoting their collections, one listing staffs recommendations.  So as a user of all of these platforms you are rarely bombarded with the same thing.  They have a nice balance between all of the social media platforms, promoting their collections and advertising their events.
Well done Moonee Valley libraries you ROCK!!!
